During Staria Growth Summit 2023 there was four different breakout sessions organized. Participants got to decide which topic interested them the most and utilize the opportunity to learn and discuss the topic with Staria's experts.
The breakout sessions were:

The session was hosted by Staria's experts Katarina Vigodová (Head of Delivery) and Andrei Postolache (Senior Solution Consultant).
Getting ERP system running as planned is not an easy task
According to Gartner, 55-75% of ERP projects fail. What can you do to be a part of the better figures, the 25-45% that actually make a successful implementation and achieve the goals set for the new ERP system? This is the core question Katarina and Andrei aim to answer in their breakout session.
To ensure a successful ERP project, one needs to understand the common reasons why ERP projects fail in order to avoid them. Andrei starts the breakout session by going through few examples on usual causes for a failed project. After forming a ground understanding of common stumbling blocks, Andrei focuses on the key considerations for success and goes through a variety of the paramounting aspects one needs to pay attention to: need and scope, business case, project team, business requirements, data management, vendor selection, partner selection, project delivery, go-live and post go-live.
After the audience has gained an understanding of what needs to be considered to ensure choosing the right ERP system and partner, Andrei gives the floor to Katarina, who talks about the next steps – what happens once you actually start the project?
To achieve a successful project, one must know what success is – it depends on the perspective and might mean different things for different people and companies. Defining success and determining goals is something that will help you maintain focus and guide you through the project when distractions start popping up here and there. Katarina also speaks about success drivers, people power and what you can and should expect from your implementation partner and how the partnership during the project should work. At the end she also gives three tips for a successful implementation: embrace change, be pragmatic and get your hands dirty!
