Mari Koivunen started as Staria’s HR & Payroll Services Director on September 1st 2020. Mari reports to the CEO and becomes a part of Staria’s management team.
In her role, Mari is responsible for the whole HR & Payroll Services personnel, its operation and process development. One of the goals is to reinforce HR Services and broaden its repertory. Mari will work closely with other business unit leaders, enabling Staria’s development and growth.
Mari has over 15 years of experience in leading payroll teams. In addition, she has worked as a HR Service specialist in different kinds of change projects. During her career she has participated in challenging service transfer projects and has established payroll units starting from the beginning, in the international environment as well. Mari is passionate about processes and how to make them agile via genuine partnership between the team and the customer.
“We must ensure that we are utilizing systems in the most optimal way. We include integrations into our processes and find the stages where we use RPA and AI to ensure quality and to release resources. Customers expect that we proactively offer i.e counseling in employment and HR related matters on top of the statutory calculation of salaries. Along with digitization it is possible for our specialists to genuinely focus on the customers’ needs and the various challenges of Payroll and HR Services,” Mari says.
As a leader Mari works with coaching mindset, she wants to encourage people to find their strengths and how to use them in the best possible way.
