Grano - Modern financial management in a cost-effective way

Grano is one of Finland's largest marketing and communication companies. Company’s services cover all business-supporting content projects, from creative planning to production, publishing and data management. More than 900 professionals work at Grano and their services are produced all over Finland.

A developing partner for growth

The financial management of Grano, which had grown through acquisitions, has been outsourced to Staria about three years ago.

– We wanted the most efficient and reliable partner who can develop financial administration as digitization progresses, in cooperation with us, Laakso says.

Staria has built a comprehensive financial service center for Grano, where service design is combined with modern technology. A dedicated team has been appointed for Grano, where financial administration professionals handle financial routines and external reporting, such as accounting, ledger and payment transactions. The efficiency of the service is supported by e.g. with artificial intelligence, in which case good cost efficiency is achieved.

The aim of the cooperation has been to modernize and streamline financial administration processes and automate routine tasks. Automation was used to save time and thus enable concrete cost savings.

– Together with Staria, we built a development plan in which different areas were immediately broken down into smaller parts. After that we started to see how we wanted to make processes more efficient and what value artificial intelligence could bring us, Laakso recalls.

The work has been done in a steering groups, where together with the representatives of both companies, the current situation and steps towards the future have been looked at.

– I have experience working with many different financial administration service companies. At Staria, I especially like the way they took over the whole process. Together with them, we discuss the big picture so that things can be carried out as clearly as possible from start to finish. Another thing worth mentioning is the transparent pricing, which allows us to save costs, Laakso smiles.
